How Much Do Braces Cost?

Great question! We base the cost of care on the difficulty of the case. Some patients require braces only! Others require early care or surgery. Many children need growth appliances to avoid extraction of adult teeth or surgical treatment.

Braces on the upper and lower teeth may be on for 12 to 24 months. 12 months of care will range from $4200 to 4700. 18 months of care is $5200 to $5400. Surgical care is approximately $6000.

How Much Do Braces Cost

Early care plus braces costs more. The patient is more difficult!! We sometimes avoid braces with early care. This percentage is between 5 and 10 percent.

Early care plus braces ranges from $6000 to $7000. Severity is the key!! Early care can avoid $10,000 to $50,000 of surgical treatment.

The braces, retainers and doctor attention are different among offices. Even experience, technology and staff training vary.

When you go shopping for care, you may want to compare apples to apples!! Not all orthodontists are alike.

Most patients listen to their family dentist and friends for an orthodontist to visit. Remember, are you shopping as an informed consumer or comparing apples to oranges?
